Students of the University of the University of Technology of Indonesia, Studies of Computer Engineering (UTI) won a gold medal at the International Competition digitated International Invention, Innovation & Design (6th Diid) University of Mara Cawangan Johor, Malaysia in 2024.

Gold medal for UTI students in the category of "Science & Technology: Tertiary" with technology that's launched "Implementation of Smart Irrigation Based on AI and LOT to Incredible Water Use Efficiency in South Lampung Farmer Group Chili Platters."

The journey to achievement is challenging and dedicated. The team is Dian Tri Saputra, Rezi Dwi Agustian, Chafidz Asyad (S1 Computer Engineering), and Abiyyu Ikbar Fikri K. (S1 English Literature).

Under the guidance of the Stywati S.T., M.Cs and Ridwan Mahenra, S.Kom., M.C.S., the team worked hard for months to develop smart irrigation systems based on AI and LOT.

This system was designed to increase the efficiency of water use in the land of chili farming groups in the South Lampong. From the research stage, development, to field testing, it's all done meticulously and passionately to create innovative and adaptive solutions.

This competition is followed by a number of top universities from within and abroad. In between Malaysia's Technical University, Urmia University / Facilty of Chemistry, MARA Technology University, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah University, Lampung University, and Jambi University.

Through the hard work and innovation shown, the Indonesian University's team won the highest award. This success shows that the Indonesian University of Teknocrat is able to compete in international numbers with innovation that affects society.
