As many as three Indonesian University students were able to win the English SESPA English Olympics (SEO) 2025 organized by Sriwijaya University. Nuin Aqmarina, student of the 2023 English Literature study program made it to first place as a newscasting or a news reading contest. In the preliminaries, Nuin set up a video tape reading the news in the studio. The process is aided by the group of the Indonesian TeWhile in the final round, Nuin prepared news about corruption in Indonesia according to the subject of the committee. In this round, participants are challenged to read the news using teleprompters.
Then, Angelica Christiani Susanto, student of the 2025 Class Information System study program also managed to win first place for storytelling branches. In the aside, Angel prepared video of a themed fantasy inspired from stories of one's imagination entering another's maze. This story led Angel to the final round, where she brought an inspired story from the movie of playing Elle Wood from the Legally Blonde. It's the first English race for Angel in college and at the stoytelling branch.
Not only were the two of them, in speech, English Literature student 2025, M. Aldi Fathur Rohman, managed to be second in the event. In the preliminaries, Aldi presented a themed speech about "break the silence" the bullying case, while in the final round he was challenged to bring up the topic of "tradition that violates human rights." Aldi was a freshman student who had a high spirit to practice and try new things.
