British Literature Studies University of the Indonesian Teknocrat (UTI) re-established achievement at global levels. This time, M. Azra Lilam Son, a British Literature student who was also an active member of the UKM TeKnokrat English Club (UKM-TEC), managed to win the II in a title in English Essay Writing in the EDGIN event (Education for Digital Natives) Fest International Competition 2026.

The international competition was organized by FKIP University of PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY) and took place online from April 8 to May 22, 2026. This prestigious title is followed by participants from 10 countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Timor Leste, China, Australia, Ghana and Nigeria, by combining five branches of the student category, including short movie design, digital media creations, and microtheking.

In order to reach the top three, Azra had to pass a strict selection that began with a submission of an essay of about 2,500 words in English, until it was declared to pass to the top 10 to present its ideas directly before the international grand jury.

In his essay, Azra raised a sustainable development goal theme focused on the issue of managing garbage. Under the guidance of the Suprayogi guidance counselor, M.Hums, Azra packed his essay comprehensive by revealing concrete data regarding issues like mapping the existing solution, and giving birth to a new innovation idea.

The writing structure of the essay reviewed in detail the design of the program, the implementation stage in the field, the actor analysis involved, to the logical argument why the program was effective to apply. The achievements of early semester students became the living proof of commitment, perseverance, and hard work that was synergized by the advanced coaching process on campus.
